SparkRoll

Privacy Policy

Effective 19 October 2026

SparkRoll is an app for editing your own videos. It is made by IBEX Solutions LLC, a Virginia limited liability company (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@sparkroll.app.

In short: your videos and photos are edited on your phone. When you ask for an AI edit, the words spoken in your video are sent to our server, never the video itself. We don’t sell your information and the app has no ads.

What stays on your phone

Your videos, photos, projects and finished exports stay on your phone. Cutting, captions, finding faces, cutting you out of the background, effects and export all happen on the phone. The app reads only the videos and photos you pick.

What we receive, and why

If you create an account

Your email address and name. If you sign up with email, your password is stored only as a salted hash. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email, name and the account id that service gives us. We use these to sign you in and keep your coins and settings across phones.

An install id

The app creates a random id when it’s installed. It holds your coin balance if you use the app without an account, and lets us limit misuse. It isn’t linked to your phone’s advertising id.

When you ask for an AI edit

Chat edits, hooks and the smart edit send our server the text of what is said in your video with its timings, short descriptions of what is on screen at each moment (for example “you on camera, close”), and your message. If you attach pictures, we receive their names and sizes, not the pictures. Our server passes this text to our AI provider to work out the edit and sends the result back to your phone. We don’t store the text afterwards.

Speech recognition

The app usually turns speech into text on your phone. On some phones, and for videos longer than three minutes, the sound of the video (not the picture) is sent to our server to be transcribed by a speech model run by our hosting provider. The sound is not stored.

Coins and purchases

Payments are handled by Google Play (or the App Store on iPhone). We receive the product you bought and a purchase token so we can check the purchase and add your coins. We never see your card or bank details. We keep a history of coins added and used.

Reports and support

If you report something the AI wrote, we receive the text you reported and your reason. If you email us, we receive your email and what you send.

Logs

For each AI request our server records the time, the kind of request, coins used and the size of the AI request, with part of your install id. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, including IP addresses, for a few days for security. We also count, without any id, how often each style is used.

Who helps us run SparkRoll

They process information only to provide their service to us. We don’t sell or rent your personal information, we don’t share it for advertising, and the app contains no third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

How long we keep it

Deleting your account and data

In the app, open Settings › Account › Delete account. You can also follow the steps on our account deletion page. Deleting your account removes your email, name, sign-in links and coin balance. Projects on your phone are removed when you uninstall the app.

Your choices and rights

You can use SparkRoll without an account, and you can decline AI features. You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, by emailing support@sparkroll.app. Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union), you may have further rights under local law, and we will honour them.

Children

SparkRoll is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Information travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as hashes, and access to our systems is limited to the people who run them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new date. If the change is significant, we will tell you in the app.
